Loot System

Loot System Ver.01 [Living for the Day]

1)Winner of all loot is based on the classic Blizzard implemented /roll system. A master looter should be in control of distributing the loot to the winner and announcing what loot has dropped in whatever manner is deemed appropriate.

2) Player "Spec" is given priority when it comes to who is allowed to roll on what items. For example a if an Elemental Shaman gear drops and there is an elemental shaman who wants it, it goes to that Shaman, not say for example an enhancement shaman who wants it for possibly going elemental somewhere in the future.

3) "Token" gear (the items obtained from bosses that can be redeemed at scryer/aldor terraces to obtain tier 4+ gear) is also based on an open roll system, however it will work on a "round" basis. So say for example if Paladin/Shaman/Rogue token drops and the Paladin and the Shaman have completed their first "Round" then the Rogue who hasn't won that token before and is still on his/her first "Round" automatically receives the item above the other two. Keep in mind rule #2 also effects tokens.

4) In case of any epic item dropping that no one wants/needs two options are available. First the item will be given to a guild enchanter who will disenchant it and give the acquired materials to an officer who will put the items in the bank. Second an open roll will be done in which whomever wins the item can do what they want with it. Rule #4 does not come into play until all players have had the opportunity to give voice as to whether or not they want the item including "Benched" players. (Benched is explained in rule #6)

5) Profession specific items will be immediately given to whomever has the profession required and the highest level of skill in that profession.

6) One epic item is allowed per run this does not count on profession items unless the person can craft the item and use it themselves and it is an epic item when crafted. If someone has obtained an epic item they will have to wait on the 'Bench" until the next item that drops is not needed by anyone and the person who is on the "Bench" can then roll on it if they need them item.

Recommended Mods

Recommended Mods:

Note: Be VERY careful where you get your mods. I recommend only one site for mods. That's files.wowace.com use the link and you should be safe. I use it for everything.
**NOTE#2 make sure when you search at wowace that you filter the tab "Last update" and find the most current edition to the individual addon.

Omen - This is an absolute must have for anyone in an instance. It will save your life and do your dishes! It's a threat meter that shows where your aggro is in relation to the main tank.

Cartographer - This is the best map I know. I've used it for months. It also shows coordinates. If you are a miner or herbalist, you'll wanna get the Cartographer herbalism or Cartographer miner addons too. It is way awesome.

Fubar and any fubar addons are sweet. Search for what is interesting to you on files.wowace.com.

XPearl Unit Frames - Probably my favorite mod for party runs. It shows health/mana, percentages, like no other. It'll walk your dog!

Disclamer: As with anything, you are responsible with what you download and install on your computer not the guild or it's officers.

Enjoy,

The Future Of Alchanon - Summer goals

The future of Alchanon.

Guys I'm really pleased to be your guild leader, because this guild is filled with friendly intelligent people who are in it to have fun. I'm glad to see you all leveling like crazy, so I thought I'd give ya some information on our plans for this spring and summer. A major milestone for any guild is to do Karazhan. It's something that I'd like to see us all doing by the end of May. In order to do this we all have a LOT of work to do. Now this isn't a requirement or anything but those of you that like running instances and getting purple drops should perk up your ears.

Karazhan is that very high hurdle to jump over as a guild. What will make it easy is that we are here not as a hardcore raiding guild. We are a casual group of friends who have leveled together from very low levels. We are not picking up level 70 selfish people who are only in it for the loot. Instead, we are a team that will have to work together to accomplish this goal. It won't be easy and it'll take a lot of 5 manning instances, grinding faction, researching, planning and working on crafting items.

So looking forward a few months, the following are some helpful goals that you should be doing if you are interested in participating in Karazhan.

1. Level to 70. (this is the first and most important thing) Hitting level 70 is a huge accomplishment! Learn and enjoy all the aspects of your character.
2. Make darn sure you figure out how to use your professions to make tons of gold. You're gonna need to buy things to meet the requirements for Karazhan. A good goal is to try to make 100 gold per day if possible at level 70.
3. Properly spec your character for what you want to do. Research various talent builds online that suits your interest.
4. Develop your skills. Learn how to work in a team by running instances.
5. Read guides about your character. There is a wealth of information online written by highly successful people in every class.
6. Figure out how you are going to get your gear. PVP, arena, level 70 5 mans, heriocs and so on. Make a list of gear you need. This site is amazing for this http://www.wow-loot.com. So is the armory.
7. Ask for advice, we don't have all the answers but we know how to get the answers.
8. Be patient and have fun.
9. MOST IMPORTANT: We will not be successful if we do not develop friendships and have each others backs. We in Alchanon have to stick together. You should always wear our guild tag with pride and be a role model for players everywhere.
10. Here is a guide to getting keyed to Karazhan.
11. Try your best in the next 3 months to meet the Kara Class Stat Requirements posted below.

Kara Class Stat Requirements

All of these stats are UN/buffed. This means no self buffs, but armor patches/gems/enchants count towards theses stats. Try to have no more then two greens when you enter karazhan. (Trinkets/rings are the only exceptions of this but do your best to get the best u can before karazhan)

Leveling Guide

Many people keep asking where they should be leveling at various stages of the game, so I thought I’d share how I do it. I can’t get into the specifics of which quest and coordinates, but here are the areas that I do when leveling. Hope you enjoy and find this useful. Remember you can't go wrong in this game. The best way to level is to have fun.

Level 21-22 Ashenvale
Level 22-23 Southern Barrens
Level 23-25 Stonetalon Mountains
Level 25 finish quests in southern barrens
Level 25-26 Thousand Needles
Level 26-27 Ashenvale
Level 27-29 Thousand Needles
Level 29-30 Hillsbrad Foothills
Level 30-31 Stranglethorn Vale (mastery quests)
Level 31-32 Shimmering Flats
Level 32-34 Desolace
Level 34-36 Stranglethorn Vale
Level 36-37 Arathi Highlands
Level 37 Alterac Mountains
Level 37-38 Dustwallow Marsh
Level 38-40 Stranglethorn Vale
Level 40-41 Badlands
Level 41-42 Swamp of Sorrows
Level 42-43 Stranglethorn Vale
Level 43 Dustwallow Marsh
Level 43-44 Tanaris
Level 44-46 Feralas
Level 46-47 Hinterlands
Level 47-48 Searing Gorge
Level 48 Swamp of Sorrows
Level 48-49 Feralas
Level 49-50 Tanaris
Level 50-51 Blasted Lands
Level 51-52 Ungoro Crater
Level 52-53 Burning Stepps
Level 53-54 Azshara
Level 54 Felwood
Level 54-55 Winterspring
Level 55 Felwood
Level 55 Silithis
Level 55-56 Western Plaguelands
Level 56-57 Eastern Plaguelands
Level 57-58 Winterspring

Immediately stop and delete all quests at 58 and go to outlands

Level 58-61 Hellfire Peninsula
Level 61-63 Zangarmarsh
Level 63-65 Terokkar Forest
Level 65-67 Nagrand
Level 67-68 Blades Edge Mountains
Level 68-69 Netherstorm
Level 69-70 Shadowmoon Valley

Another thing you could do if you can hack it is to grind a couple of factions from level 65 to 70 so that you’re getting xp and rep. Then go back and do all the quests from 65-70 as a 70 and make double gold! Pre level 20 I’d suggest the quests in the Blood Elf starting area. Always kill stuff when you level. If you get a couple of levels ahead of the above areas, things will just be easier for you. If you start getting gray quests delete them and move on. Finally always level your skills as you go. It’s easier, cheaper and makes things more interesting as you go.

Alchanon Guild Bank Policy version 1

Alchanon Guild Bank Policy ver.1

Note this is a living document and is subject to change with guild growth.

  1. You must be a member of the guild to request things from the guild bank.
  2. To insure fairness you must be able to directly use the requested item from the guild bank.
  3. All requests from members must be made through Violentfemm. To do this you simply send in game mail requesting the item.
  4. Donations from members go in guild tab #1.
  5. An appropriate amount of guild points will be assigned to donated items based on the tables below and on the rules of the guild bank. Please realize the guild leader is human and will do this as fair as possible.
  6. You must have accumulated an amount of GP’s (Guild Points) equal to the amount of the requested item.
  7. Items that become of no apparent interest in the bank will be auctioned or disenchanted and the gold or mats will become property of the guild bank. Items of exception are blues/purples or other rare items.
  8. Gold donations are to be in one time per day donations of at least 1 gold. Please do not make 20 donations of 1g; instead donate the full 20 gold. That way the transaction log does no fill up.
  9. Stacks of cloth, herbs or anything relatively easy to acquire must be donated in full stacks of 20. Partial stacks will not result in any guild points.
  10. Items not accounted for on the tables will be assigned an appropriate amount of GP’s. This will be based on gold value and done as fair as possible.
  11. Gold donations will be equal to 1/10 of a GP per 1 gold. So 10 gold = 1 GP, 32 gold = 3.2 guild points and so on.
  12. Players may not sell items withdraws from the guild bank. Discovers of a character doing so will result in expulsion from the guild.
  13. As of now the money donated and accumulated by the guild bank system will be used for the purchase of Tabs 3 and 4.
  14. Initiates are allowed to view guild bank tabs and deposit into tab 1.
  15. Players accumulate guild points for each item donated, but when an item is requested out, that amount of points is subtracted from the total. Example: Fred has 54 GP and requests a 20 GP item, he would now have 34 GP.

Item Level: Green / Blue /Purple

10-19: 1 / 3 / 15

20-29: 2 /5 /25

30-39: 3 /10 /35

40-49: 4 /20/45

50-59: 5 /25 /55

60-65: 6 /30 /65

66-70: 7 /40 /80

Recipe Level: Uncommon /Rare

125-174: 3 /10

175-224: 4 /15

225-274: 5 /20

275-324: 8 /30

325-350: 10 /40

351-375 15 /50

Other things of interest:

Stack of Rune cloth 1

Stack of Netherweave 2

*Note the above tables represent the amount of points you get when you donate an item and how much it costs to request it out.

Guild Bank

Greetings,

There has been some concern about the guild bank. I'm doing some thinking about how to best use the guild banks. Remember members of Alchanon will be able to deposit and view the guild banks. They will also be allowed making requests for things in it. We need some moola for a third tab. I'm trying to round up some gold for that, but those things are extremely expensive. Remember initiates require a 2 week trial period in order to be promoted to a full member. Please be patient with us. It's great to play with all of you new people.

Welcome to Alchanon!

The officers: Violentfemm, Soulchaser, Earthshadow, Earthspirit, and Sofiefatale would like to welcome you to the guild. You are now Initiates to the guild. You will undergo a two to three week trial period and then be evaluated by the officers in order to become full members of the guild. Then you will be given tabards if you don't already have one. We encourage questions and helpful comments in guild chat.

Our goal is to recruit many more people your level so that you guys can run instances together and bond as a guild. The 70's are always their for your advice, because we need you. In fact by the summer I want to be exploring level 70 endgame content with you all. Mainly we are here for each other and to have fun playing the game we love. I would recommend that you guys explore Wailing Caverns if you have not already. Then hit RFD and RFK. It is loads of fun and teaches you how to perform as a group. Eventually you'll want to get into The Scarlet Monestary. That's where the huge upgrades are for your characters. If you are not into running dungeons that's perfectly ok too. I wasn't into that at first either, because of time issues. This is a Casual guild that is there for you when you need us.

We need good, friendly people your level, so if you run across anyone worthy of wearing the Alchanon tabard let one of the officers know. Make us proud you guys!

As always please read the charter and policy as well as the discriptions of the ranks. Enjoy and be careful out there. Getting to level 40, and getting your mount is a milestone for you, then...NO MORE WALKING.

Please read - Guild Charter and Policy

ALCHANON- MEDIVH – GUILD CHARTER AND POLICY

Charter

Alchanon began as a guild of alchemists who worked together to level from level 1 to 70 and raised enough money to buy 5 epic riding skills and mounts. Later we expanded to include some of our other friends including those of other crafting skills. This goal was reached on Jan 26, 2008. The guild has been around since March of 2007, but has been closed to recruitment until now.

Currently Alchanon is a guild that is moving forward and accepting new members of any race beyond level 10 and of any crafting skill. We keep the name Alchanon, which is short for alchemy anonymous, and the green and silver potion bottle tabard as a reminder that our strong foundation is financial power through alchemy. Now that all the officers are 70, we are looking to explore endgame content on a casual level. We do not raid three nights per week and you are not expected to raid in this guild. However we usually run instances on Saturday nights, but again in a friendly and casual level. We do use ventrilo and have a good time and are fairly successful - most of the time.

As the guild master I have multiple children and work two jobs, but still manage to enjoy this game and am there for my guild mates. Most of us are 30 somethings and are good friends in game and in real life. Our officer core is rock solid, very helpful and are good people. We have many 70’s in the guild and are established as a force to be reckoned with in the AH. At any one time Alchanon can control over 20% of the total alchemy sales on the Auction house. We have 2 elixir masters, 2 transmuter masters, a potion master and a high level jewel crafter. You should never go without alchemy buffs in this guild.

We are also excited about gearing up for the upcoming expansion and leveling ourselves into the unknown. We conduct ourselves in a mature fashion; while still having a good time. We expect all members from officers to initiates to respect and abide by guild policy and be helpful toward our guild and those outside our guild; however, anything goes with the filthy alliance.

Policy

Note: All members of Alchanon including officers are expected to abide by these rules. If you are having problems with another guild member who is violating these policies and you don’t think you can resolve the issue on your own, let an officer know.

Code of conduct

  1. We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. While a healthy rivalry between in game factions and races is acceptable, we require civil and courteous behavior toward the real people behind the keyboard.
  2. Members should refrain from foul or overly suggestive language in guild chat or other channels.
  3. Members may not beg for gold or items directly in guild chat.
  4. Don’t beg others for power leveling or run throughs.
  5. All members must abide by Blizzards EULA.
  6. Do not harass other guild members or players outside the guild. We encourage fun, but keep it within reason and respectable.
  7. Do not let someone else log onto your account and represent you. Your characters actions are your responsibility.
  8. All players must be level 10 to be invited to join the guild.
  9. Instance run looting systems must be agreed on before hand. Ninja looting will not be tolerated.
  10. Every voice whether it’s an officer or a lowly initiate is equal, and we enjoy open conversation as long as you’re helpful and do not belittle fellow members.
  11. Upon reaching level 60, a character may have an alt invited into the guild.

E.R.S. Date Set

Hi,

I'd like to officially announce the date for the E.R.S. completion. I want you to reserve the evening of Saturday, January 26th. This should give Spirit PC time to get fixed and the rest of us time to farm enough gold. Please try to get your 2700 in time. I'll have the rest covered. See ya then in Shadow moon valley!

Also: Try to get the quest "Kindness" from the blood elf just outside of Sanctum of the stars. Do about the first 4 or 5 steps in the quest by yourself so that we can kill Zuluhead the whacked together and get everybody neutral with the netherwing.

Sofie and the E.R.S. Project

Grats to Sofie for hitting 70! She will be getting her regular flying skill tonight. The gold continues to flow for femm and my alts. Keep up the gold collecting. Also any spare motes of water or netherweave will help this process along.

We are looking at 3 weeks I'd say. Keep the potions coming in too they are starting to sell a little better.

Things that we all need to do are:
1. Become king of the ogres.
2. Become neutral with the netherwing.

E.R.S. Update Jan 3, 2008

With the alchemy sales dragging it's feet at the moment I've been busy farming gold. The guild bank has around 7700g in it. Hopefully in the middle of January sales will pick up again. Grats to Sofie for hitting level 69 on Tuesday! She has 17.5 bars to go. I want you to know that I have reached well over 5000 gold on Femm and I'm going to donate January's gold to your mounts. We should be able to complete E.R.S by the end of this month! I need to raise about 3500 more gold, by then which shouldn't be a problem if I get enough play time. I need you to have your 2700 gold within the next few weeks. Do what you can to do this. If you want to help me and you have 2700 plus gold, you can do the following:
1. Donate Netherweave cloth.
2. Donate motes of water or motes of earth. (note: The water is far more important)
3. Donate any greens that you find.
4. Donate any extra gold you have.

Any help would be appreciated. If you don't have your 2700g's - Get it Quick.

This is going to be a huge month for Alchanon! All of our efforts will pay off soon. I want to organize a big guild event when E.R.S. is completed at the end of the month and do a bunch of things together to progress the guild, including getting keyed for Karazan.
